“The incubator has been a great way to connect with other entrepreneurs and creatives in my local community in a very meaningful way. Eric and Lauren are both incredible leaders in guiding our cohort, helping us to understand our businesses better, how to work smarter and more efficiently. They have an answer for every problem or stumbling block you may encounter. I also appreciate the social networking aspect of HCI. I've met and collaborated with some folks in the community and it feels great to know we're all in it, building together.”

What can you expect from the Hudson Valley Business Accelerator, 2023 Cohort?

A roadmap and accountability program around 3 core tenets

Customer-First
Framework

Customer retention is just as important as growing a customer base. The key result of our customer-first framework is proving market demand for your product while gathering social proof.

Together, we will build systems to increase your customer feedback while focusing on the metrics that matter. Next, we’ll work to leverage those findings so you can nurture your audience and build valuable customer relationships through impactful messaging.

Stay relevant with your customers through authentic thought leadership and uncover valuable insights so you can increase LTV and mitigate churn.

Scalable
Processes

When it comes to scaling a business and achieving success, resources are key. But in this day and age, relying on human resources alone won't get you very far.

That's where automation comes in. With the right automations, you can free up time and resources to focus on the parts of your business that require a human touch.

Automations can help streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. These are all key components for business growth.

So if you're looking to scale your business and achieve success, automating your processes is the way to go.

Project
Management

Finding the right resources to grow your business can be overwhelming. That's where project management and mentorship come in.

With a dedicated 1:1 mentor, you can get the support and guidance you need to reach your business goals.

Project management helps you streamline processes and better manage projects, while mentorship provides you with the support and encouragement to stay focused on your goals.

By combining these two business resources, you can break down complex tasks into manageable chunks and get the help needed to overcome any obstacle.

Don't wait any longer - take advantage of the Hudson Valley Business Accelerator today and unlock your business potential.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Question: What is the time commitment?

Answer: there are 6 intensive workshops that are 2 hrs each and meet monthly. In between sessions there are tasks to complete on a project management board and accountability check-ins with your assigned mentor. You should be available a minimum of 5-10 hours a week to grow your business in the accelerator. That's one hour every weekday dedicated to tangible business goals. The September pitch night is not included as a workshop, rather a graduating event where you can show your peers what you've learned and how your business has grown. Check out our calendar here for more details on the sessions and dates.

  2. Question: What is the cost?

Answer: $1495 for a 6-month workshop series. There will be a sponsored business grant that is 3x the investment for the winner of Pitch Night. We are providing an HCI growth membership as part of joining the accelerator, which is valued at $240 per annum.

  3. Question: Who is this for?

Answer: Business owners in the Hudson Valley that have been trying to grow business on their own or with little outside help/resources. Our application form helps us determine what type of business you are running as well as align you with the proper 1:1 mentor outside of monthly sessions. If we don't think this is the right fit for you, we are transparent in conveying that through the application process. You should not apply if you are not in the Hudson Valley, or do not have a business with some success already, or are not mission-driven in some way.

  4. Question: What if I'm not sure if this is the right program for me at this time?

Answer: You are welcome to attend a Public Square session and meet other people who are interested in attended so you can see the community and pier group. You are also welcome to apply, and ask for an informational interview. Check out what past students have said here.

  5. Question: When does it start?

Answer: The 2023 Cohort begins on the 3rd Tuesday of every month starting in March. Sessions tend to run from 6-8pm, but if there is enough of a response that that time doesn't work, we are open to having a time change.

  6. Question: Where are the sessions held?

Answer: The sessions are virtual for workshop speaker sessions. We will have in person networking events every month which are optional to attend, but encouraged. The networking events will be held between Hudson, Co Kingston, Catskill and CO Rhinebeck
